Billiard or Snooker or Pool Cue Carousel, circa 1860

A revolving billiard cue carousel by John Thurston of London, circa 1860, a decorative carved finial above a flat shaped top with ebony brass sprung cue clips, connected to the gadrooned turntable base with a tubular brass upright, all standing on three out swept feet with brass castors.

Holds 12 cues:

John Thurston (1777-1850) was an apprentice cabinetmaker at Gillows of Lancaster and London, in 1799 he established his own company and specialized in the manufacture of high quality billiard tables and associated billiard room furniture.
