Literature
Mr Henry Cox and Mr Edward Yeman combined forces during the 1850s to form their own billiard table company,it appears that Mr Cox was already building tables but needed the expertise of Mr Yeman and his sister who were trained by Burroughes and Watts.

By 1864 they were fully fledged manufacturers of billiard tables and supplied specially made competition tables,in 1873 new premises were acquired at 184 Old Brompton Road and fifty titled gentleman became customers including The Duke of Richmond, The Duke of Wellington, the Earl of Jersey, the Nwab Nizam of Bengal and H.M. the King of Siam.
In 1902 His Majesty the Shah of Persia, ordered two billiard tables both were made of mahogany, with carved legs and fitted with patent low cushions.
Apparently the Shah had stayed at the Royal Palace Hotel Ostend, and the Elysee Palace Hotel Pari and was impressed by the billiard tables installed by Cox and Yeman.
